Welcome to The Queen's Head, Finghall
"There is nothing which has yet been contrived by man, by which so much happiness is produced as by a good tavern or inn."
At the Queen's Head, we believe we could do Dr. Johnson proud. Now fully refurbished, the Queen’s Head is a superb four star Country Inn enjoying picturesque surroundings within the quiet village of Finghall, just off the A684 east of Leyburn.
This cosy pub is comfortable and welcoming, and retains much of its historic charm and character. Our accommodation is both modern and comfortable, whilst our restaurant and bar menus offer an extensive range of home-made cuisine, sourced from local ingredients and prepared to the highest of standards.
The Queen's Head itself dates from the 1700's, to which the original oak beams bear testimony. The spacious dining room at the Queen's Head overlooks "Wild Wood" said to have inspired the author Kenneth Grahame to write the "Wind in the Willows". The beauty of exterior and interior combine wonderfully but along with the warmth of its hearth you can be assured of the warmth of the welcome.
We are open 7 days a week for lunch, dinner and, of course, drinks.
